Combe de Savoie
La Combe de Savoie: a must-see in Savoie.
The Combe de Savoie connects the main towns of Savoie and has always been a place of passage and exchange. Our campsite adjoins this valley. It is in fact the valley parallel to the Gelon valley where our campsite is located in Savoie. It stretches from the towns of Chambéry, home town of the Dukes of Savoy, a place steeped in history, and Aix Les Bains with its Lac du Bourget, to the Olympic city of Albertville, the starting point for the ski resorts of the Tarentaise.
In the centre of its territory, you will find the Château de Miolans, a fortified place overlooking this place of passage used for centuries to reach Italy. This very well preserved castle offers a unique view over the valley and the Mont Blanc. A former royal prison, it has "housed" many personalities such as the Marquis de Sade.
The second strength of this area is its exposure to the sun, which has allowed it to develop a very high quality wine growing. Known grape varieties such as Apremont, Mondeuse or Jacquère are grown here and are beginning to be strongly recognised by specialists. Seven years ago, the area was awarded the "Vignoble et découvertes" label for the quality of its wines.
This label is now recognised in France, but is also beginning to gain great popularity around the world. To mention only some of the grape varieties you will find here the Mondeuse, La Roussette or Chignin Bergeron. Discover our winegrowers and their know-how.
Our campsite offers you beautiful accommodation to discover this fabulous area. Whether you choose a camping pitch or a mobile home and chalets, you will always be able to find the style of holiday that suits you best in our establishment.
